The Laminated Glass Information Centre states that 65% OF architects who took part in a survey* it carried out last November prioritise security more frequently in design briefs than than they did five years ago.
Of those firms questioned, 72% said they were more likely to specify glazing to enhance security in a building, 35% would specify it in a commercial development and 37% would specify glazing for residential projects. Some 79% said they wanted to be kept well informed about secure window system development.

*The survey was carried out to gauge architects' awareness of the trend towards designing more secure buildings.
