The British Standards Institution's (BSI) Business Information Division has announced that PAS 56:2003 - the development document put together to address business continuity management issues - is to become a British Standard (BS 25999-1:2006 Code of Practice for Business Continuity Management) before the end of the year.

The first part of the all-new BS 25999 series will establish the processes, principles and terminology of business continuity management, providing a basis for understanding, developing and implementing business continuity within a given organisation.
