The latest Combilift multi-directional forklift to be delivered to extrusion manufacturers Permacell Finesse Ltd (PFL) is a Combilift with a difference, as it is fitted with a pantograph attachment, designed to improve loading procedures of the finished product. In all, four Combilifts operate at Witham, Essex, handling over 300 stillages daily around the nine acre premises.

‘The Combilift can safely pick four stillages at once, and load a complete truck, even right to the back from one side.’ Says Permacell’s Purchasing Manager Alan Stonard. ‘Previous damages to stillages and the finished product associated with the old method of pushing the load to the rear has been eradicated. The abilities of the attachment coupled with the reliability and versatility of the Combilift has enabled us to speed up loading and guarnatee flawless products for our end customers.’

PFL recently signed a five year transportation contract with Forest Freight Ltd for the supply and management of 14 liveried trucks.

n The 500th Combilift multi-directional forklift to be sold in Britain has recently been delivered to the Bristol branch of timber and panel supplier James Latham, bringing Latham’s national Combilift fleet up to 21 vehicles.
