High impact dome cameras from Rainbow have been INSTALLED at a flagship leisure venue in central Cardiff.

Technology at The Liquid Nightclub allows the management team to transmit aromas on to the dance floor and create computer graphics capable of ‘transforming’ the building into a swimming pool!

The site is now using 60 dome cameras to monitor the dance floor and various bar areas. These 1/3” cameras employ a DSP image sensor. There are unusual demands here, as light levels are often low but can change dramatically to, say, the bright illumination of a bar on the upper floor. The Rainbow domes can satisfy these requirements since they are overt without being intrusive, and register high image quality even when the ambient light is low.

Security staff are able to review footage and search for incidents at will using a DVR which records at a rate of 600 frames per second.

Rainbow’s dome cameras can be supplied with 3.8-9.5 mm and also 9-22 mm auto-iris varifocals.
