An RLF first...
Construction and property consultancy RLF has promoted Charlotte Steedman, head of marketing, to Associate Partner – the first non-core technical appointment the company has made.
Steedman, who joined RLF in 2001 as national marketing co-ordinator, was made head of marketing in 2003. She has also guided the firm through a complete rebrand.
Three new posts at Hill
Paul Whatley joins Hill International as managing consultant. He is working on a claim for an electrification project in the Lebanon that has been, and continues to be, severely delayed. Previously, Whatley was with a dispute resolution and claims consulting practice.
UtamSingh Gopal joins as a consultant. He is currently leading a team of three analysts for Hill conducting a forensic cost audit exercise on one of Europe’s largest infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Hill, he worked as a cost manager on Heathrow Terminal 5, a £3.8bn project.
Will Richardson joins as an analyst, with his previous experience including advising BP on oil production matters – specialising in environmental production and manufacturing issues.
Boost to F&G whole life team
Faithful & Gould has appointed Kathryn Bourke as associate director, within its whole life department. She joins from Building Research Establishment, where she was previously director of whole life performance, working on titles such as the Client’s Guide to Whole Life Costing.
Prior to that, she worked at Construction Audit and Building Performance Group. Her previous experience also includes work as an assistant litigation surveyor.
Goodrich Projects
PM and QS firm Goodrich Projects has made three promotions: Chris Roberts will become associate director, operations, while Alwyn Smith and Craig Simpson have been promoted to associates.
PM joins Hall & Partners
Mark Henderson has been appointed senior project manager at the Newcastle office of construction consultants, Hall & Partners.
Henderson’s first project is the multi-million pound regeneration of the Norris Green area of Liverpool, where some 1,500 new homes will be built.
Henderson, a double graduate in surveying and business studies, brings 19 years of project management experience to the post.
Clarus PCM promotion
Clarus Consulting’s Anne Strohman, Head of Business Development, pcm safety and pcm management, has been promoted to associate director.
