Osprey to manage £10m gallery revamp

Osprey Mott MacDonald has been appointed as project manager on the £10m redevelopment of the Whitechapel Gallery, in Aldgate, east London. The grade II*-listed building was founded more than 100 years ago. Key elements of the project include uniting the two landmark buildings; creating three new exhibition spaces and developing a three-storey education and research tower with studio facilities. The project is scheduled for completion in winter 2007-08 and due to open in April 2008.
