One-stop care: Supported housing specialist Abbeyfield opened the first phase of a development of flats – like this one for older people – in Nottingham on Monday. The £4.4m project will care for 185 people.

The development allows residents to get higher levels of care as their needs intensify without having to move out of the scheme. It was funded from Abbeyfield’s resources, charitable donations and bank borrowing.

The architect was Fellows Hallatt.
