The SBZ 610 profile machining centre, from Elumatec, aims to increase efficiency for fabricators. It was designed for the smaller fabricator and only needs one person to operate it. It also aims to alleviate problems related to increasing costs and tighter profile margins Frank Jones, Jones Windows, said: ‘We turn over around 400 frames per week. Installing the SBZ 610 has not only helped us to achieve this target, but it has made it possible for us to halve the workforce and save the company a significant amount of money.’
As well as addressing the problems associated with sourcing labour in the industry, the SBZ 610 can simply be turned up, down or off dependent upon the workload levels required.
So there should be no wastage in operation and no costs incurred when less work is required. At full capacity, the machine can produce up to 450 frames per week.
