The National Security Inspectorate has announced that, under the new certification arrangements, all ADT Affinity Partners will largely be inspected and certificated as part of NSI's UKAS-accredited certification scheme, Systems Silver. Some NACOSS Gold companies may also be included.
This certification will, at a minimum, involve product certification to EN 45011 as well as NSI's additional entry criteria, which focuses on customer care and commercial health.
ADT's Affinity Programme General Manager Steve Lloyd said the aim was to "provide even higher standards of service delivery" to its local customer base.
"We are particularly pleased that NSI has responded quickly and professionally to our request to handle applications promptly and that we will be working together to underline the market confidence which NSI approval confers."
NSI Chief Executive Tom Mullarkey said: "In a changing marketplace, in which regulatory standards are becoming even more important, ADT's long-term view of customer care and service delivery accords precisely with our own."
By operating exclusively with ADT Fire and Security on the Affinity Programme the customer will be "well served by a consistent national approach.
"We aim to support ADT's transition into the Affinity Programme with great vigour and we will be working closely with applicants to deliver a rapid and efficient certification process."
