Project aims to ensure EU gets full value for funds directed at regional development
Consultant engineer WYG International has won a £4.17m contract advising Serbia on regional development.
The three-year project aims to ensure that EU grants for local development projects are cost effective and managed efficiently.
The EU says development of Serbia’s regions will help pave the way for future EU membership.
Keith Cook, socio-economic director at WYG International, said: “WYG International has a strong track record in regional development and an extensive portfolio within the Western Balkans and we are delighted to bring our experience to Serbia and add to our current portfolio in the region."
WYG will provide advice to the Serbian Ministry of Economy and Regional Development and Serbian Regional Development Agencies.
