Glen Thorn to take helm of global buildings and infrastructure division
Management and technical consultancy WYG has appointed Glen Thorn to take the helm of its global buildings and infrastructure division.
It said Thorn’s initial focus would be to strengthen the firm’s domestic presence and use his international experience to support the group’s global expansion strategy.
Thorn has 30 years experience of delivering major road projects in the UK and internationally and until until last year was an executive director of Halcrow’s Transportation Business Group Worldwide.
WGY Group chief executive Paul Hamer said Thorn was a proven leader with a wealth of experience in the company’s key market sectors.
“Glen will be instrumental in shaping one of the group’s major divisions and his international track record and market knowledge will be a huge asset as we seek to implement our global growth strategy,” he said.
Prior to joining Halcrow, Thorn worked for Parsons Brinckerhoff and Mouchel.
