Chris Cole appointed to oversee Association for Consultancy and Engineering’s corporate plan for 2014
WSP chair Chris Cole has been appointed as chair of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE).
Cole will be responsible for overseeing the execution of the body’s corporate plan for 2014-16 during its first year.
He has been in the engineering and consulting industry for 40 years and was key figure in the merger of WSP with Canadian firm Genivar in 2012.
Cole has been on the board of the ACE since 2010 and chaired its large consultancy group in 2013.
Nelson Ogunshakin, chief executive of ACE, said he was “very privileged” to have Cole as chair of ACE.
He said: “He [Cole] is a major player and strategic operator within the global consultancy and engineering industry and his experience of the infrastructure, built and natural environment sector is second to none.”
Cole added: “Whilst building on the success of ACE’s current activities, I will also ensure that we are aligned to the changing business and industry environments. As we navigate the future of the ACE, it is vital that we continue to be mindful of the interests of all members.”
