Former US secretary for transportation Rodney Earl Slater set to join board on 9 September
WS Atkins has appointed former US secretary for transportation Rodney Earl Slater as a non-executive director.
Slater, who served as secretary for transportation under president Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001, is currently a partner at US law firm Patton Boggs.
Allan Cook, chairman of Atkins WS, said, “I am delighted to welcome Rodney to the Board. He brings an impressive track record in business and government to Atkins as well as an important American dimension to our board.
“This is particularly important as Atkins continues its development as a multi-national organisation, with an increasing geographical presence in the United States.”
Slater will join the Board on 9 September.
