Building was being demolished when it partially collapsed causing worker to fall from scaffolding
A construction worker fractured his pelvis after falling from collapsing scaffolding in Vauxhall, London, yesterday morning.
Shop workers in nearby Kennington Lane heard a loud bang and the sound of breaking metal coming from the site, which is being converted into flats.
Police said the building was in the process of being demolished when it partially collapsed, bringing down scaffolding.
The worker was rushed to Kings College Hospital where is now in a stable condition. An investigation into the accident is ongoing with the Health and Safety Executive.
