Construction worker injured at the former BBC televison centre has died
A construction worker seriously injured at Stanhope’s Television Centre development last week has died.
Last Monday the London Fire Brigade were called to the former BBC Television Centre in White City and helped to free a man trapped under the back axel of a waste disposal lorry on Wood Lane. The man was then taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Stanhope said: “An incident occurred on Monday morning at the Television Centre site involving a vehicle and a member of the site team. The person was taken to hospital, but sadly passed away and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.”
The former BBC Television Centre is being turned into homes, offices and new TV studios by Stanhope in partnership with Mitsui Fudosan, Aimco and the BBC.
