Developer and contractor McAleer & Rushe is building the seven-storey building
McAleer & Rushe has begun construction on Brighton’s first new office development since the Brexit vote in June 2016.
The 65,000ft2 seven-storey scheme known as The Brinell Building is due to complete in January next year.
Once complete it will feature roof terraces with views across the coastal city and its seafront, as well as underground car and cycle parking, electrical car charging points, private changing booths and showers and a drying room.
The new building is double the size of the firm’s last office project in Brighton at CityView, which spanned 32,000ft2 and was completed in 2016.
Angus Monteith, London property director at McAleer & Rushe said: “It was an easy decision to push ahead with construction when we have a well-designed building in a great location and the undersupply of the Brighton office market is seeing rents and values rise.”
