Aecom scoops role on £2bn extension to Canary Wharf
Aecom has been appointed to provide a range of engineering services on Wood Wharf, the £2bn extension to Canary Wharf in east London.
Developer Canary Wharf Group is pushing ahead with plans for the 4.7 million ft2 mixed-use scheme after appointing Terry Farrell and Partners in September to redesign a Rogers Stirk Harbour masterplan for the site.
A planning application will be submitted in spring 2013 and the developer plans to build it in phases over 10-12 years. Aecom is providing M&E, sustainability and structural engineering services.
