British supplier spends £84m bolt-on aqusitions in America and France

Building supplies group Wolseley has bought five companies for £84m, it announced today.

The British firm said it had acquired US door and access control specialists Architectural Building Supply Company and Jacobi Hardware in October.

This month it bought Albuquerque-based KBC Construction, and the inventory of JD’s Wholesale Plumbing & Supply in Colorado.

The firm also agreed to buy French company Sofiparts SAS in August, it said in a statement.

Wolseley said the five bolt-on acquisitions were expected to add around £109m to total revenue in a full year while related goodwill and intangible assets were estimated to be around £50m.
