Distributor will supply spare parts and building materials for maintenance and repair work in 2,000 UK stores
Wolseley has scooped a £5m-a-year contract to service Tesco supermarkets across the country.
The distributor of plumbing, heating products and supplier of construction materials will supply the spare parts and building materials for response repair and maintenance work for Tesco's 2,000-plus UK stores.
The supplies are predominantly distributed via a dedicated parts centre branch set up inside Wolseley's national distribution centre in Leamington Spa, and supported via the company's nationwide branch network.
A number of Wolseley brands are already involved in servicing Tesco. Products now being supplied include catering and bakery spare parts, electrical products, including lighting, and hired access equipment and toilets from Brandon Hire.
Sean Collins, Wolseley's contracts team director for the Lightside division, said he was “delighted” with the win, continuing: “This contract win demonstrates our ability to supply the high volume of varied materials and products required by a leading supermarket through our established national supply chain.”
