Nine-storey building will include 237 build-to-rent apartments
Winvic Construction has secured a mixed-use scheme in Sheffield that will see the regeneration of an area a short walk from the city’s two universities.
The project around Napier Street and Summerfield Street, funded by listed residential landlord Grainger, will see 237 properties built - 56 studios, 81 one bedroom and 100 two bedroom apartments.
Spaces for retailers, cafes and restaurants, as well as a car park, are part of plans for the nine-storey building that will be completed for client Adobe Hallam in August 2019.
Ed Ellerington, PRS acquisitions director at Grainger, said: “The creation of 237 high quality homes, built specifically for the rental market will be significant for Sheffield’s city centre housing needs and regeneration.”
Winvic is also currently erecting steelwork at the Vaughan Way PRS scheme in Leicester next to the Highcross Shopping Centre.
The mixed-use residential and commercial development is an 11-storey block comprising 298 apartments, which is also scheduled for completion in spring 2019.
