Operator BAA said the £1bn building, formerly known as Heathrow East, would complete in 2013. The 185,000m2 project, a little over half the size of Terminal 5, will be built by HETco, a joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and the Spanish company Ferrovial Agroman.
