Contract with Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is worth £15m
Developer Willmott Dixon has secured its sixth ProCure 21+ project in four months after being chosen by Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (ANHSFT) near Keighley, West Yorkshire, for a contract worth £15m.
The firm will work closely with ANHSFT’s estates team over the next five years to carry out planned improvements to Airedale General Hospital.
The work will cover a range of areas including a new endoscopy unit and refurbishment of the hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.
All sites will remain open to the public while work is underway.
Working alongside Willmott Dixon will be its ProCure 21+ team, which comprises Capita Symonds, providing architectural, M&E and structural services, and Cyril Sweett as cost advisor.
ProCure 21+ is a Department of Health framework for the procurement of new and refurbished NHS facilities, and has become the most popular route for NHS capital projects.
Anthony Dillon, managing director for Willmott Dixon in the North, said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded this long-term contract to improve facilities and deliver a hospital that’s fit for the future needs of itslocal communities.”
