Willmott Dixon has been appointed to build an £18m sports venue in Middlesbrough
The project will see the creation of a host of venues including a 400m athletics track with spectator grandstand as well as all-weather football pitches and facilities for rugby, netball, basketball, badminton, roller hockey and an indoor gym.
Plans also include provision for a velodrome in the second phase of the project.
Anthony Dillon, managing director for Willmott Dixon in the North East, said: “We have a strong local presence in Middlesbrough and our team are delighted to be back again creating something that will have a profound impact on the region’s future prosperity and growth.”
