Job set to finish in 2021
Willmott Dixon has been chosen to build a £38m sport and leisure centre in Hampshire’s county town, Winchester.
The facility will include a 50m swimming pool, a separate teaching pool with movable floor, an eight court sport hall, four squash courts, 200 gym stations, two large studios and one spin studio. There will also be a hydrotherapy suite and eight treatment rooms.
The contractor is working with architect Stride Treglown and, subject to planning consent due to be considered this autumn, will start construction in next spring with completion in early in 2021.
The job is the latest in a string of leisure centre job wins for the contractor, which has delivered more than £250m worth of the facilities across the UK in the past five years.
