Hounslow regeneration chief joins contractor’s Be Living arm
Willmott Dixon has raided another local authority after poaching a London council’s regeneration director to work at its rebranded residential business Be Living.
Last month the firm recruited a new operations director from Bedford borough council for its Senesis pre-designed schools business.
Now the firm has hired Brendon Walsh, as strategic consultant to help expand its private sale and build-to-rent operation.
Walsh (pictured) was previously director of regeneration, economic development and environment at Hounslow council in west London.
His CV includes working on schemes at Ealing, Acton and Brentford FC.
It is the second time in less than a year that Be Living has turned to the public sector for a major role at the firm after GLA deputy mayor for housing Ric Blakeway joined as a strategic advisor last November.
Be Living said it currently has 7,500 units under construction or at planning.
