Wienerberger further tightens its position in the UK with Baggeridge Brick purchase
Brick maker, Wienerberger has unveiled plan to purchase Baggeridge Brick for £89.2m.
The Austrian company plans to tighten its position in the UK market by acquiring Baggeridge Brick, the country’s fourth biggest producer employing 575 staff across its six sites across the UK.
A company spokesperson said: “The UK is the largest European market for facing bricks and Wienerberger is confident of its long-term prospects.”
Wienerberger is already the third biggest producer of bricks in the UK with nine sites in the country, and it is number two on the clay roof tile market in Europe.
