Multidisciplinary consultant wins £12m EC contract to help rebuild former Yugoslavia
Multidisciplinary consultant White Young Green has won a £11.8m (€15m) contract to help rebuild crumbling infrastructure in six Balkan countries.
The appointment was made by the European Commission, and will see WYG supporting the development and funding of infrastructural and improvement projects in Albania, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
The multidisciplinary consultant revealed the contract in a pre-close trading update for the year ending 30 June.
It said trading in the period continued to be strong in spite of “difficulties in the wider economic climate”, and said it was upbeat about the new financial year.
The group also announced it had successfully claimed £1.5m in research and development tax credits during the year, and expects to save some £350,000 a year in tax through the same route from now on.
