Quintain’s 14-acre development includes 1,300 homes as well as shopping and office space
Quintain has submitted a planning application for a 14-acre residential and commercial scheme next to Wembley Stadium.
The development will sit alongside the new 40,000m2 Brent civic centre in the heart of the Wembley regeneration area.
Plans includes a new shopping street, a park, up to 1,300 homes, hotel space and affordable workspace.
The proposals are the latest from Quintain for the area, which has already renovated Wembley Arena and Wembley Square and built 520 homes nearby.
By September 2013, Quintain will also have built the Hilton Internation Hotel, student accommodation, a nine-screen cinema and a designer outlet centre.
Revisions including better views of the civic centre and Wembley Stadium and access roads have been made since the public consultation held in June.
Nick Shattock, Quintain’s deputy chief executive, said: “We want to boost Wembley’s appeal and create a thriving new quarter, with a new High Street to complement Wembley High Road and a new community park at the heart of the district.
“Olympic Way itself will also be transformed from an empty space into a grand, ceremonial route lined with trees and open spaces creating a variety of different areas for people to enjoy.”
