Wates has bagged two frameworks, one with Housing 21 and another with Hanover
Wates’ social housing arm, Wates Living Space, has been appointed on Housing 21’s £250m framework and Hanover Housing Association’s £150m framework..
Both framework agreements start immediately and cover a four-year period. They will comprise newbuild extra care, retirement and older people’s accommodation in England.
David O’Neill, head of new business and sales for Housing 21, said: “Housing 21 is looking forward to working with Wates Living Space. We have an extensive programme of new development and their experience and expertise will no doubt be very valuable.”
Perry Scott, head of procurement at Hanover Housing Association said: “This design and build framework will support the Hanover build programme of four to six Extra Care Schemes per annum and 1,000 Retirement Housing units.”
Wates is currently delivering six newbuild and remodel projects, providing 440 units of extra care housing and care homes for public sector customers, with a value in excess of £50m.
