Paul Drechsler leaves ICI after 24 years to take up post at Wates
Paul Drechsler has been appointed executive officer of Wates Group. Drechsler, who will take up his position on 6 September, was previously a main board director at ICI.
Andrew Wates, executive chairman of Wates said: “I am delighted to be making this announcement. Paul’s skills and experience complement our existing construction expertise and market knowledge and he comes to us highly recommended. I believe we share a remarkably similar culture and I look forward to supporting him in his leadership of the business.”
The company has also announced that Jonathan Houlton, its chief financial officer, will be leaving the company in December 2004. The company said it expected to replace Houlton in the autumn.
