Rock supplied its Flexiphalte triple protection system for the inverted roofs on the first projects in a renovation scheme of 20 schools in Salford.
The Flexiphalte triple protection system is a fully-bonded waterproofing system combining a high performance membrane, Flexiphalte Pommar polymer modified mastic asphalt and Dow Building Solutions’ Roofmate SL-A insulation. The Flexiphalte triple protection system was covered with ballast and paving slabs for an inverted roof finish. To ensure adequate drainage without having to lay additional screed, further Flexiphalte Pommar asphalt was added to potential problem areas, enabling a flat finish and ensuring water run-off to existing drainage outlets.
