Environmental consultant Waterman Group has acquired JP Envirosystems for up to £325,000.
JPE is a consultant specialising in the environmental management sector based in London and Sheffield. Its work includes development and maintenance of environmental management systems, environmental permitting and professional training.
The company will be renamed Waterman Envirosystems and will be merged into the Waterman Environmental business. Simon Handy and Graham Hiscocks will be appointed to a new subsidiary board.
In the year ended 31 March 2005, JPE made a profit before tax of £58,000 on a turnover of £277,000.
Waterman will initially pay £250,000 in cash and up to £75,000 subject to agreed performance targets and the valuation of net assets.
