Vistry ahead of expectations amid sales boom

Housebuilder expects annual profit to be at “the top end of expectations” after strong start to the year

Vistry is on track to exceed its profit margin targets after a better-than-expected start to the year, it has said in a trading update this morning.,

The housebuilder, in an update for the six months to 2022, said good demand has led to an 11% increase in its average weekly private sales rate to 0.84 units. 

It now expects its adjusted profit before tax to be at the ‘top end’ of market forecasts at around £417m.
