Virtual Grad Fair available on demand - until 9 February

The Virtual Grad Fair is now available on demand until the 9 February. The three-day graduate online recruitment fair, organised by the publishers of Building magazine in November, attracted 1,400 students.

Many of the show features will be available for the next three months, including:

• Company information
• Live job vacancies

Careers specialist the Write Stuff was present offering free CV advice to students.

Sixteen firms exhibited including consultants Davis Langdon, Cyril Sweett, Turner & Townsend, Gleeds and Bouygues.

Architecture and construction firms AK Design, WSP, Carillion and Leadbitter were also present.

The event gained the full support of major institutions including the CIOB, RICS, CIBSE and CIAT.

Additionally, there were a number of universities exhibiting including Reading University and University of Salford.

The four webinars were well attended with “working abroad” attracting 284 unique viewers, the “graduate schemes” 170, “students from outside construction and architecture” 47, and “work placements” boasting 104 attendees.

Speakers included architects, engineers and QSs working in New York, Shanghai and Abu Dhabi, as well as recent graduates in various positions in the construction industry.

Aaron Wall a speaker at the webinar on graduate schemes, and Kelly Bramford from the students from outside construction webinar were present in the lounge during the first day chatting to students and graduates and giving advice.
