Firm will draw up plans alongside Amber Infrastructure and Aedas Architects
Vinci Construction UK has been named as a preferred bidder for the £16m Ludlow Health Facility, alongside Amber Infrastructure and Aedas Architects.
The firms will now draw up proposals for the development and maintenance of a new community hospital and two new GP practices at the Eco Business Park in Ludlow.
The project is being delivered on behalf of Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust.
Alan Oliver, head of Vinci Construction UK’s wellbeing specialism, said:“This result is an excellent reward following the enormous commitment from all involved to provide the Ludlow Community with an exemplar healthcare facility.”
The project was a collaborative effort within Vinci Plc’s UK operation between the Vinci Wellbeing team, Vinci Facilities and the Vinci Construction UK’s Building Division - South.
Ludlow MP Phillip Dunne said: “This is good news that a development contractor has been selected by the NHS, and is a significant step towards the realisation of a new healthcare facility to serve Ludlow and South West Shropshire.”
