Vinci lures former Galliford Try boss

Vinci Construction has appointed former Galliford Try managing director Dave Smith to head up its building division in the south of England.

Vinci Construction said Dave Smith had been appointed managing director of Vinci Construction UK Building Division - South.

He joins the company from Galliford Try Construction, where he was managing director of the South and Interiors business unit within the Building South region.

Andrew Ridley-Barker, managing director of Vinci Construction UK said: “Dave Smith brings a wealth of relevant expertise to the role at Vinci Construction UK and will add value for clients through his extensive knowledge and experience of the construction sector in London and the South. It’s an area where we already have a strong base for future growth.”

Smith added: “I am delighted to be joining Vinci Construction UK. My previous experience will complement that of the teams in London and the South and further enhance the presence of the company in this strategically important market.”
