The Gleeds Gulf regional director sees lots of part finished towers, a 12 lane highway and an elevated metro line
What can you see?
What I could see was the fast changing face of Dubai. However, in the last few months it has not been changing at any pace! Despite this you still get to see some fabulous exotic cars whizzing past on the highway, and today I saw for the first time the train for the new metro trundle past.
How far up are you?
I am on the second floor of a four storey building.
What’s on your desk?
Too many piles of paper but also a picture of my boys (I thought there was one of my wife too but that must be under one of the piles of paper) and the usual office desk parafernalia..
What are you working on?
The office is working on a variety of schemes, but personally I am concentrating on managing the business in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha - and engaging with clients with regard to the meaning of ’prompt payments’.
What’s your all-time favourite view?
My all time favourite view is the Severn Bridge travelling west on the M4 towards Wales.
