Building speaks to WSP associate director Bart Leclercq about progress on the redevelopment of the World Trade Centre area in Dubai
The 350m by 300m site in the heart of Dubai’s business district is a redevelopment of an existing area comprising the landmark Dubai World Trade Centre, the World Trade Centre convention and exhibition halls and some residential apartments.
WSP is the engineer on the project, which comprises a hotel of two towers for luxury operator GHM, as well as apartments. WSP asscoiate Bart Leclercq outlines the challenges facing the engineer in the video below. The lead consultant is Hopkins Architects.
