Land Securities submits further application for revamp of Victoria in London
Land Securities has submitted a residential development designed by John McAslan + Partners for planning in Westminster.
Wellington House, part of Land Securities’ wider redevelopment of the Victoria area, will sit at Buckingham Gate and will contain 59 apartments over 96,000 ft2 of property. The units are all high-end accommodation; Land Secs is building affordable housing at its nearby Wilton Plaza development, due for completion in 2009.
Wellington House is Land Securities’ third significant planning application in recent weeks. It submitted applications in September for Selborne House, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli, and for the Victoria Transport Interchange, with buildings designed by Kohn Pederson Fox, Benson & Forsyth and Lynch Architects.
Construction on the scheme could start as early as next year.
