dRMM's wedding venue on Blackpool prom will be clad in shimmering gold shingles
Plans for a £2.7m wedding venue on Blackpool’s promenade have been approved by the local council.
The structure, designed by dRMM Architects, will be built out of timber and clad in gold coloured stainless steel shingles.
Construction of the building, which is being developed by urban regeneration company ReBlackpool, is dues to start next summer.
Doug Garrett, Chief Executive of ReBlackpool, said: “Many couples long for a beachside wedding but often can’t combine their dreams with guest requirements – now they can have the best of both worlds.”
The development costs are being covered by the North West Regional Development Agency.
