Directors at housebuilders see average bonuses grow by more than three-quarters
The upturn in the housing market has led to directors at housebuilders seeing average bonuses grow by more than three-quarters, according to figures compiled for Building.
Research by housing recruitment firm PSD Group for Building found that base salaries for directors at housebuilders and residential developers rose by 6% in 2013.
However, the average bonus as a proportion of salary for these directors increased from 40% to 67%. With the rising base salaries, this equates to an average numerical improvement of 78% in the value of bonuses.
