Government invites five companies to compete in innovation competition in Hamburg
UK Trade and Investment has given five construction firms the chance to show their products and services to international businesses as part of its Building Exchange innovation competition.
Camden Group of Antrim; Nu-Phalt of Rugby; PhotonStarLED of Southampton; Primace Associates of Cirencester and Screedale Solutions of Stone will all be heading to Hamburg to display their wares between the 8 – 10 June. The five will then compete to become overall winner of the competition, which recognises the most innovative UK firms in construction and infrastructure.
Minister for trade and investment, Lord Davies of Abersoch congratulated the finalists and said the awards were of especial use in the downturn.
He said: “While innovation in the fields of sustainable and intelligent construction is reshaping the industry, market conditions are currently tough.
“It is therefore particularly important that UK companies’ wealth of experience in developing new products, services and technologies is recognised on a global platform.”
