Turnover and profit at electrical contractor T Clarke fell in the six months to 30 June but its order book rose by a third
The 2012 Olympic stadium electrical contractor’s turnover was down 8%, from £93.2m to £85.7m, while pre-tax profit fell by almost a quarter from £4m to £3.2m. Its order book expanded from £170m in 2009 to £220m this year.
Mark Lawrence, chief executive, said: “I am pleased to report that the group has maintained its market share in the period and has secured some of the most significant projects available despite a continuing tough and challenging environment.”
Last week the company bought £7.7m-turnover contractor DG Robson Mechanical Services for £6.15m.
