Cost consultant teams up with Soeul-based HanmiParsons to target Korean investors
Cost consultant Turner & Townsend has formed a joint venture in South Korea with a major project and construction management firm, HanmiParsons.
Soeul-based HanmiParsons has 500 staff and mainly offers construction management and project management services, but also property investment consulting services.
Duncan Stone, T&T’s Asia managing director said the JV, to be called Turner & Townsend Korea Co, would offer cost management services that would “bring reliability in the budgeting and delivery of major schemes” in the region. It will target Korean investors operating in the domestic market and overseas.
Turner & Townsend began operating in Asia in 1994 and has had a relationship with HanmiParsons, which was founded in 1996, for ten years.
T&T has 200 staff in Asia in ten offices and its clients in the region include Rolls Royce, Siemens, Intel, Hyatt and BP. The firm employs 2,400 people worldwide in 59 offices.
