Firm opens another office in Krakow in addition to the office opened in Warsaw in February
Turner & Townsend has opened another office in Poland as the consultant looks to expand rapidly in the country.
It has now established itself in Krakow, south of the capital Warsaw, where another office was opened at the beginning of February.
The second office will have about 10 mainly Polish staff based in it, making it a similar size to the Warsaw office. The move is partly on the back of work won for Tesco in the country.
Turner & Townsend has said that it would look to advance into other eastern European countries if the Polish operation is successful.
Jon White, Europe managing director, said: “The opening of two offices in the country in 2011 reflects our confidence in the Polish economy and our commitment to the country, and is in line with our strategy to expand in growth markets.”
The construction market is booming in Poland, and is expected to jump by almost 14.5% in 2011.
Civil engineering work has grown by at least 20% annually for the past three years, boosted by EU funds and building stadiums for Uefa Euro 2012, held jointly with Ukraine.
