Caddick, Eric Wright Group and Seddon chase first phase of the Future Carrington project
Three regional heavyweights have been shortlisted for the first phase of a major regeneration scheme in Greater Manchester.
Caddick, Eric Wright Group and Seddon have been shortlisted for the first phase of the Future Carrington project, which is being developed by Himor.
The trio are competing for Carrington Gateway – an 8ha commercial development on the 680ha site.
Outline planning permission is already in place for 725 new homes and 1m ft2 of new commercial development, with Trafford council approving a reserved matters application for Carrington Gateway last month.
Enabling works, which are being carried out by local firm Simon Carves Engineering, are already underway and will prepare the site for future phases.
Himor bought Carrington Estate (pictured above) – which incorporates the former Shell processing plant, Carrington Business Park and neighbouring land – in 2014.
