Corus Kalzip has installed an off-site roofing system on Mount Snowdon’s £8.3m visitor centre at the very top of the 1,085m peak in north Wales.
The lightweight roofing system was assembled off site, then delivered to the scheme by a mountain railway.
Sterling Building Systems craned-lifted it into place in four days. Carillion is main contractor on the scheme, which is due to open in summer 2008.
