Catherine Brookes to head up roads arm at business

A former director of Highways England has swapped the public sector for the private sector, joining Tilbury Douglas to head up the highways arm of its infrastructure business.

Catherine Brookes will report to Chris Tyerman, managing director for infrastructure, having spent more than two decades at Highway England.

Catherine Brookes spent more than two decades at Highways England

She was most recently director for operations business transformation and performance at the government agency.

She spent 10 years in the private sector working for Gifford and Partners and Mouchel before joining the Highways Agency, as it was then called, in 2000.
