Three teams have been picked to bid for the £172m schools programme
Three teams have been shortlisted for the South Tyneside and Gateshead councils Building Schools for the Future programme.
The £172m BSF programme will see the construction of 13 schools across 11 sites.
The three teams are:
- Bespoke Environments – a joint venture between Bilfinger Berger Bot, Gleeson and others
- Excell2gether – comprising Equion and Shepherd
- Inspiredspaces – which includes Carillion.
South Tyneside and Gateshead councils' BSF programme is the only one to involve two local authorities. The primary care trusts in South Tyneside and Gateshead are also partners.
