London’s ExCeL centre became a hub for sustainable design and construction at this year’s Think exhibition and conference
The Think event attracted thousands of sustainability professionals to discuss debate and share best practice at London’s ExCeL centre this week.
The event, on Wednesday and Thursday, offered a mix of exhibits, debates and industry speeches during the two days. Highlights included a presentation from renowned author and film-maker Herbert Girardet (see below), who offered a fresh perspective on creating sustainable world cities.
The Think conference include over 80 speakers from a wide range of industry backgrounds and perspectives. Bill Taylor, managing director of Hopkins Architects (below) spoke about the challenges of designing sustainable buildings in America.
Other speakers included secretary of state for the environment Hilary Benn, former chair of the World Green Building Council Ché Wall and Lend Lease global head of sustainability Maria Atkinson.
